General Safari Trips for Charity FAQs

These FAQs cover the most common questions U.S. charities and event organizers have about safari trips for charity and how safaris for charity donation packages work at auctions and galas. Use this guide to understand the process, what to look for in a provider, and how to choose the right trip for charity to maximize your fundraising success.

A safari donation package — like our safaris for charity package — is a donated experience that nonprofits can use for fundraising. You can auction it, raffle it, or offer it as a prize, raising money for your cause without any upfront cost to your organisation.

To request our safari trip for charity package, simply contact Debbie Bosman at bosman@zulunyala.com. She will provide everything your organisation needs to feature our safaris for charity at your next fundraiser or auction.

There are no upfront costs to your organisation. Our safari for charity package is completely donated — revenue is only shared after the auction or sale, according to our agreed 50/50 split.

Proceeds are shared using a 50-50 split, unless the package sold for less than $3500, in which case Zulu Nyala would receive $1750 per safari sold.

After the package sells, your nonprofit collects payment from the winning bidder and then sends the agreed-upon share to Zulu Nyala.

There are no black-out dates, but bookings are subject to availability.

No, unfortunately not.

Promote your safari trip for charity through your event website, email campaigns, auction catalog, and social media. Use high-quality photos and emphasize both the impact on your cause and the $7,995 retail value of the safari for charity package — this alone drives significant bidder interest at any fundraiser or gala.

If no one bids or the winner cancels, your nonprofit may be able to relist the package, offer it at another event however once the sale is concluded with Zulu Nyala, it is non-refundable.
